Burnt Gum Entertainment first took form when a group of students was filming a short for a class on a chilly night. The temperature that night was around 40°F, and most people present were cold during the shoot---all except one. He noticed that the camp fire was diminishing, and that the wood supply used to fuel the fire had ran out. To keep the fire alive and continue to provide warmth for everyone, he offered his chewed up bubble gum as fuel to help sustain the fire. The dedication of the crew, exhibited through their willingness to film even in harsh conditions, in conjunction with creative ideas, is what brought the group together to help establish Burnt Gum Entertainment.
